Gladys M. Neitzke

Mrs. Gladys M. Neitzke, of Bay City, passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 at Brian's House. Age 94 years. She was born December 30, 1916 to the late David and Margaret Arnold in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. On May 14, 1947 she married Edgar Neitzke and he preceded her in death on October 8, 1967. She was employed at Kinney Dairy, Inc. for twenty five years as the bookkeeper and retired in 1995. Gladys is survived by one step son; Frederick Neitzke and his wife Beverly, four step grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren, two nieces and many cousins. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother; Clyde Arnold in November of 1967. Mrs. Neitzke would like to extend a special thank you to these special people; Thelma Muir, Caroline Sylvester, Shirley and Patrick Brandt for all of their help and kindness during her illness. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. LeRoy R. Westphal with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Monday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m.. Mrs. Neitzke will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for Immanuel Lutheran Church will be available at the funeral home.
