Gladys K. Wenglikowski (Kernstock) Bay City, Michigan Our beloved wife, sister and sister-in-law passed away peacefully, Saturday August 27, 2016 at her residence. Age 74 years. The daughter of the late Gerhard J. C. and Lydia (Helmreich) Kernstock was born on May 26, 1942 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent de Paul Church, graduated from T. L. Handy High School in 1960, was a cook in this area for many years and retired from Whites Restaurant, she enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking for her family and friends. On May 16, 1964 she married her husband of fifty two years Bernard "Bernie" Wenglikowski at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and he is left to cherish her memories along with two sisters; Marie Hendrick and Hilda Dijak, one brother and sister-in-law; Harvey and Sue Kernstock all of Bay City, four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; Marian Kernstock of Pinconning, Gerald and Louella Wenglikowski of Bay City, Ronald and Shirley Wenglikowski of Troy, Donald and Jane Wenglikowski of Bay City, and Jay LeVasseur of Gladwin, many nieces, nephews, her god children and cousins. Besides her parents Gerhard and Lydia she was preceded in death by two brothers; Clarence Kernstock and Howard Kernstock, one brother-in-law; Patrick Hendrick, her father-in-law and mother-in-law "Mom and Dad"' Chester and Clara Wenglikowski and one sister-in-law; Maureen LeVasseur. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish-St. Vincent de Paul Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge with the Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin, Michigan. The family will be present at the church on Thursday to receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. (There will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.) Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to "The Wishes of the Family" for a memorial to be established at a late time in her memory.
