Glen Charles Hartley age 92, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother and uncle went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 surrounded by his family. Glen sailed the Great Lakes as a deckhand on freighters at the age of 16 and later served his country in the United States Army. Glen married the former Marci Sypos Anderson on June 23, 1962 and she survives him. He was self-employed as an expert carpenter building houses from frame to finish. In his spare time he enjoyed cooking, softball, golf, bowling, reading and scratching lottery tickets. He also enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid Michigan Wolverine fan "Go Blue".
Glen is survived by his wife, Marci; children, Timothy, Tammy (Barry) McClenaghan, Todd, Tina and Troy; grandchildren, Bethany (Matthew) Kominiarek, Josiah (Melissa) Dailey, Benjamin Dailey, Jacob Dailey, Zachary (Mita) Davenport, Charles (Elizabeth) Davenport and William (Chelsea) Davenport; twenty great grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Diana) Hartley; sister, Irene Hartley; brothers-in-law, Gary (Sue) Anderson, Randy (Cindy) Anderson and Gregory Anderson; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hartley; numerous nieces and nephews and pet Abby. Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Lorena (Wetters) Hartley; brothers, Miles, Raymond (Mary Lou), Gilbert (Carol), Robert and Richard Hartley; sisters, Betty (Irvin) Ott and Millie (Herman) Roth; brother-in-law, William Anderson and father and mother-in-law, Elias and Betty Anderson.
