Glenda G. Chandler

Glenda Gale Chandler passed into Eternal Life on Friday January 31, 2014. Glenda was born on April 5, 1936 to Glenn Theodore and Violet Louise (Siegrist) Schneider in Roscommon MI. In 1955 she married Lavern Chandler and they were together for 45 years. Lavern preceded her in death in 2013. She was also preceded in death by her son, Timothy John Chandler in 2009. Her daughter, LeAnn (Jon) survives her along with: her great niece Kara; her nieces Shawn, Billie Jo and Kim; her nephew Dan; and her brothers: John, Lynn "Rocky" (Jan) and Gary (Bonnie). Glenda loved her family and they loved her. She gave warm hugs and a listening ear to all. One of Glenda's favorite pastimes was reading and sharing books with others. She always kept a small stack of children's books to give to any child visiting her. For those wishing to do so, please consider donating funds to the children's section of your local library in her memory. She would be pleased to know that people remembered her in this way. The family thanks the staff at Sheffield Bay where Glenda lived the past four years. They took excellent care of her and provided comfort to her and our family. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, February 3, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rande La Prairie with private interment in Cedar Valley Cemetery in Twining, MI. The family will be present at the funeral home to greet family and friends on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. www.gephartfuneral home.com.
