Glenn passed away peacfully Monday, September 21, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family. Age 70 years. The son of the late Glenn F. and Margaret L. Ruegsegger Sr. was born October 8, 1944 in Essexville, Michigan. Glenn was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Kawkawlin. He retired as a supervisor from Euclid Block and 4D Builders. Glenn was an avid woodworker, enjoyed building homes thru Apostolic Christian World Relief, enjoyed helping his son-in-law on the farm the last few years and also had a great love for hunting and fishing and playing with his grandchildren. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife; the former Maria E. Pena whom he married August 2, 1973, his children; Glenn F. Ruegsegger III, Roxanne (Jacob) Cutchins, Michelle (Brad) Marciniak and Rebekah (Chad) Wieland, his grandchildren; Erikah and Chase Ruegsegger, Tess and Austin Wieland, his mother-in-law; Sixta Pena, his sisters and brothers; Anita Hine, Clinton (Sherry) Ruegsegger, Winifred (John) Gorney, Kathleen (David) Wernli, Paul (Diane) Ruegsegger and Lee (Alice) Ruegsegger, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister; Anna Marie Bishop, his father-in-law; Victor Pena, one brother-in-law; Tom Hine. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to McLaren Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice, especially; Lisa, Michelle, Janelle and Michelle for the kind and compassionate care Glenn received during his time of need. Funeral Services will take place Friday, September 25, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church in Kawkawlin. Officiating will be Clergy of the Church with burial following in the Church Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Glenn will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
