Gloria E. Carpenter

Mrs. Carpenter age 79, passed away at home Thursday, January 17, 2019. She was born to the late Joseph and Ruth (Halcro) Reay in Detroit on March 14, 1939. Gloria loved people, shopping at her boutiques, watching birds, making flower arrangements, decorating for Christmas and spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her children, Richard and William Jr. Carpenter of Bay City and Debra and Rich Hanson of Maple Ridge; grandchildren, Sean and Brandon Hanson, Nicole Levasseur, Tamarra Barcia-Carpenter; nine great grandchildren and child hood friend, Gayl Kimble. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Carpenter and sister, Ruth A. Reay.
The family would like to thank McLaren Hospisce and Chaplin Joe Atchinson.
At the request of Gloria, cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to the wishes of the family.
