Gordon F. McCarty Jr. "Gordy" Lakeview, Michigan Our loving brother, son and father was called to the heavens above on Saturday December 12, 2015 at his residence in Lakeview, Michigan following a brief illness. Age 58 years. He was born on August 31, 1957 in Bay City, Michigan to Gordon F. McCarty Sr. and the late Joan F.(Thompson) McCarty. Gordy graduated from Garber High School in 1976. He was such a gentle kind soul. He will be remembered by his funny sense of humor, his love for fishing and there was not a rummage sale he would miss. He leaves behind his family he so cherished and loved; his father and step mother; Gordon and Linda McCarty Sr., two sisters and one brother-in-law; Dawn M. and Christopher Abbs and Tracy McCarty, one brother and sister-in-law; Kevin and Heidi McCarty, one daughter; Amanda Kloha, his nephews; Brady Abbs, Spencer and Erica Abbs, McKenzie Lee and Hunter Lee. All of his grandchildren he truly loved and a special friend; Andie, his aunts and uncles; Kay and Jim Behmlander and Sandi and Tom VanTol and Fred and Becki Thompson. Gordy will join our mother Joan McCarty in the Heavens of God above. A Celebration of Life Service will take place Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Officiating will be Rev. Charles F. Campbell . The family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday to receive visitors from 12:00 noon until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to "The Wishes of the Family"
