Gregory R. Switala

Gregory passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age 65 years. He was born in Bay City on February 5, 1954 to Richard and Geraldine (Liss) Switala. In November of 1981 he married the former Melanie S. Rolston and she preceded him in death in September of 2014. Gregory worked for Schwan's Food Company for 15 years. Gregory was a people person and enjoyed fishing, spending time in his kitchen cooking and home brewing his own beer.
Gregory is survived by his children, Gregory Switala of Bay City, Stephanie (Mike) Chezem of Clio, Gabriel (Buyankhishig Buyannemekh) Switala of Alameda, California, Jay Switala of Lincoln City, Oregon and Eric (Julie) Switala of Hillard, Ohio; grandchildren, Travis and Trevor Switala of Bay City, Isabella and Michael Chezem of Clio and Archer and Simon Switala of Hillard, Ohio and Mercedes Switala; brother, Philip (Lori) Switala of Panama City, Florida; sisters, Ilene (Wayne) Kight of Panama City, Florida, Annie Switala of Alger, Michigan and Mary (Timothy) Frank of Phoenix, Arizona; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his father, Richard Switala.
