Gwen A. Daeschlein

Gwen passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at her residence at the age of 66 years. Gwen was born in Bay City on January 27, 1953 to the late Glenn and Beverly (Klender) Daeschlein. She was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church where she worked as the church treasurer for twenty years. She also worked for thirty five years for Essroc Cement and retired in 2009. In her spare time she enjoyed paddleball and bowling and was a phenomenal golfer.
Gwen is survived by her sister, Cathy (Dale) Fleminger; brother, William Daeschlein; nieces and nephews, Todd Daeschlein, Glenn (Ashley) Daeschlein, Tara (Kyle Revette) Harris, Neil Daeschlein and Marty (Julie) Fleminger; several great nieces and nephews and best friend, cousin and mother, Shirley Grandmaison. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her nephews, Jesse Daeschlein and Dean (Kristen) Fleminger and sister-in-law, Lisa Daeschlein.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas H. Teich with cremation to follow the service. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Gwen will be taken to church to lie in state on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
