Mrs. Commire passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Gould and Naomi (Isaman) Pinney was born September 14, 1936 in Petoskey, Michigan. Mrs. Commire was a member of Community of Christ Church Bay City, enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time at the Riverside Senior Center. Mrs. Commire is survived by four children, Steve Norton, Bonnie Cooper, Mark (Lori) Norton and Debra (Paul) Levengood; seven grandchildren, Kate and Garrett Cooper, Kyle and Matthew Norton, Whitney (Randall) Simun and Taylor and Sam Hayes; three great-grandchildren, Gracin and Gannon Cooper, Graham Simun and one little nugget on the way; one brother, Bruce (Diane) Pinney and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Commire was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Norton and her second husband, George E. Commire and one sister, Jean Horner. At the request of Mrs. Commire, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Community of Christ Church Bay City. Officiating will be Elder Donald Nielson and High Priest Gil Burgeson. Private inurnment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Community of Christ Church Bay City on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the Bay County Veterans Council will be available at the church.
