Gweneth A. (Gale) Sting

Gweneth A. Sting passed away on Sunday morning, March 11, 2018 at Brian's House at the age of 88 years. Gweneth was born in Saginaw on May 23, 1929 to the late Howard and Marjorie (Corcoran) Gale. She married Robert Sting on May 28, 1949 in Saginaw. He preceded her in death on April 9, 2010. Gweneth worked and retired in 1988 from JCPenny in Bay City. She was a parishioner at St. Catherine of Siena Parish - St. Vincent De Paul where she was part of the funeral committee, altar society and the League of Catholic Women. In her spare time she enjoyed golfing, bowling and was a member of a bridge club.
Surviving are her children, Sandy (Richard) Jacobs, Robert (Sandy) Sting, Colleen (John) Mauch, Pattee (Kevin) Kilborn, Jim Sting, and Cherie (Steve) Smith; fifteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Jim (Yirlany Boirivant), Howard (Pat), Joseph (Ruth) and Harold (Linda) Gale. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her grandson, Kevin Jacobs.
The Funeral Liturgy and Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish - St. Vincent De Paul. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge with private inurnment at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit at St. Catherine of Siena Parish on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass.
