Harold passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at Bay Medical Care Facility with his family by his side. Age 96 years. The son of the late James and Maleta (Wright) Bedell was born September 25, 1921 in Bay City. Harold was a retired floor covering installer. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, trained and raised bird dogs and volunteered at Camp Fish Tales.  Harold proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during W.W. II
Left behind to cherish his memories are his children, Jaylynn Hankison (her special friend, Jim Wesley), Terri Jo (Terry) Dandino and Tracy (Norma) Bedell; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, James Dinsmore, his step-sister-in-law, Enda Smith.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois  "Pete" Bedell; his son, Rick Bedell; two brothers, Edward (Virginia) Bedell and Wayne (Caroline) Bedell; two sisters, Viola Huff and Helen Dinsmore; his step brother, Vernon Smith.
At the request of Mr. Bedell cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson followed by Military Honors Conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. The family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday to receive friends and relatives from 2:00 p.m. until the time of services.
