Harold "Hal" A. Anderson

Harold A. Anderson (Hal) 90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 in Hastings Michigan. Hal founded Anderson Pharmacy on Marquette in the Banks area of Bay City in 1960. He spent many years giving advice and caring for the needs of others. He enjoyed being a pharmacist, farmer and fisherman. He was wise beyond his years and was always willing to share his knowledge. He often said “Getting old ain't for sissies!” and sure proved that to be correct 

Hal is survived by his children, Barbara (Dan Roth) Anderson, Victor Anderson, and Elizabeth (Craig) Cooley; four stepchildren, Rodney (Denise) Kennedy, Rebecca (Dan Spencer) Murray, Steve (Teresa) Kennedy and Tracey (Chris) Goodnight; grandchildren, Kayla, Jamieson, Ray, Alek, Drew and Joel; step grandchildren, Kyle, Kurt, Nick, Bret, Alex, Olivia and Sam; great grandchildren, Jackson, Brendan, Emeric, Renna and Meren; great step grandchildren, Phoebe, Lydia, Banks, Leo and Rosie. Also, special friends and world travel companions, Ronald and Joyce Koehler and favorite furry friend, Millie. In addition to his parents, Archie and Helen, close cousin, Walter (Huntsie) Anderson and special friends, Gerald and Thelma Luczak, Hal was also preceded in death in 2018 by his loving wife of 45 years, Evelyn "Evie" Anderson. 

 At the request of Mr. Anderson cremation has taken place. A family memorial service will take place at a later date.
