Harvey K. Maines

Maines, Harvey K. Bay City, Michigan Harvey passed away Thursday December 22, 2011 at the Carriage House Nursing Home. Age 96 years. The son of the late Henry and Ethel Maines was born June 1, 1915 in Lawton, Michigan. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Harvey was a resident of Pine Ridge Adult Foster Care Home for two years before going to the Carriage House Nursing Home. He enjoyed playing shuffle board. Harvey is survived by his special friends; Shirley Jankowski, Loretta Adams and Clara "C.J."Jekel, his grandchildren; Donald Owczarzak, Denise Tibbits, Deborah Taylor and Dennis Taylor, his special nephew; Kenneth Endline. He was also preceded in death by his wife; Elsie (Endline) Maines and a step son and his wife; Gerald and Julie Taylor. Funeral services will take place Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Le Roy Westphal with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Harvey will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
