Hilda Katherine Buerkel

Buerkel, Hilda Katherine Bay City, Michigan Hilda K. Buerkel born June 3, 1919, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2011, age 92 years at the Carriage House of Bay City. Hilda was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. She retired from the Mill End Store as a clerk where she worked for many years. Hilda is survived by her two children, daughter; Marylin K. and Dana Spencer, son; Fred Allen and Marjoray Buerkel, seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Katrina (Schwab) Arnold, her sisters; Lorena Burk and Edna Pruetz, her brothers; Norman, Herman and Edward Arnold. Funeral services will take place Monday, July 11, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Mrs. Buerkel will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
