MacDougall, Hugh Dean "Hughie" Bay City, Michigan Mr. MacDougall passed away Tuesday afternoon November 26, 2013 at Bay Shores Nursing Center at the age of 87 years. He was born May 3, 1926 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Gordon and Marjorie (Struble) MacDougall. Hugh was a member of Zion Lutheran Church for over sixty years, he retired from the United States Post Office as a letter Carrier after thirty two years of service. Mr. MacDougall proudly served four years with the United States Navy in Okinawa and Iwo Jima as a Gunners Mate. Hugh was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening. Mr. MacDougall is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law; Gary Lee and Judy MacDougall and Larry MacDougall, one grandson; Michael MacDougall all of Bay City, two sisters; Marilyn Torrence of Richmond, VA and Marge Krive of Lansing, Michigan. On August 15, 1953 he married the former Lucille Ann Born and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2005. He was also preceded in death by one brother; Gordon MacDougall. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday evening November 29, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Kurt Eichinger with private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Members of the Bay County Veterans Council will conduct Military Honors Friday after noon at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy the family ask that you consider a memorial to Zion Lutheran Church General Fund.
