Irene Rose Gwizdala

Irene passed away Friday, January 10, 2020 at the Carriage House at the age of 88 years with her family by her side. She was born on May 29, 1931 in Bay City to the late Joseph and Mary (Adamowski) Kram. Irene was a member of Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church for many years. On May 6, 1950 she married Joseph Gwizdala in Angola, Indiana. On March 6, 2019 he passed away after 68 years of marriage. Irene was a member of the Bay City Lions Club and enjoyed baking, camping and playing cards.
Irene is survived by her children, Joseph III (Jean), Mark (Kendra), William (Carla) and Lori (Shane) Hall; grandchildren; great grandchildren; sisters, Vi Kowalski, Kay Richards, Marge (Brad) Schindehette; sister-in-law, Midge Kram and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Randy; daughter, Pammy and her brothers and sisters.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy with private burial in Chapel Hill, Freeland. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Lions Service at 6:00 p.m. and the Vigil for the Deceased to follow at 6:30 p.m. Mrs. Gwizdala will be taken to the church to lie in state on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
