Irene Rita Weed

Our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Bay City Comfort Care. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Adolph and Anna Marie (Trudeau) McCoy was born February 17, 1923 in Cheboygan, Michigan. Mrs. Weed was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Anne's Society and she enjoyed painting ceramics and jigsaw puzzles.

Mrs. Weed is survived by four children, Wanda (Bill) Lamoureux, Sandra Wojciechowski, Marilyn (Robert) Murray and James (Sandra) Weed; 22 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 20 great great grandchildren; one brother, George McCoy; one sister, Theresa (Terry) Ratajczak and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Melvin Weed; son, John Theodore Amick and one grandson, James Michael Ciesielski.

Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with private interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. the Vigil for the Deceased will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening at the Gephart Funeral Home. Mrs. Weed will be taken to the church to lie in state on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
