Irene D. Wegener

Mrs. Wegener passed away Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 88 years. The daughter of the late Ameal and Alma Wrobbel was born April 1, 1927 in Detroit, MI. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Monitor. Mrs. Wegener enjoyed most of all spending time with her identical twin sister Ilene, she also enjoyed shopping, home decorating and her pets she had over the years. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses; Larry and Bethany Wegener, Randy and Shari Wegener and Sherry Krause, her grandchildren; Lorie, Erin, Britt, Meghan, Abby, Tara, Sally, Tammy, seven great grandchildren and her identical twin sister; Ilene Dickerson. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Alvin W. Wegener as well as her two sisters; Florence Guffey and Violet Sweeney. Thank you to the staff of Bay Medical Care Facility, especially Paula for the kind and compassionate care our mother received during her time of need. At the request of Mrs. Wegener cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, May 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. David F. Sherry. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
