Irma G. McKenzie

Mrs. McKenzie passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region, age of 95 years. The daughter of the late Carl and Anna (Weiss) Kernstock was born February 5, 1925 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and the church friendship circle. She enjoyed bowling and was a former member of the Bay City Bowling Association. She also liked gardening and working in the yard.
Irma is survived by her three children, William McKenzie, Carol Fojtik, and Margie McKenzie; four grandchildren, Cassandra (David) Guy, Charles (Jessica) Bond, Megan (John) Gietzen and Kersten Bond; five great grandchildren, David, Catherine and Sarah Guy, Luke and Ella Gietzen; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Irma was preceded in death by her husband Melvin of 56 years; son in law, Jerry Fojtik; three brothers, Harold, Emil and Roland Kernstock; two sisters, Esther Teuscher and Lora Ruhlig.
Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W. Matyas with Committal following at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. The service will be live streamed through www.facebook.com/stpaulfrankenlustbaycity or on youtube, search St. Paul Bay City. The family will be present at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may consider a donation to the wishes of the family.
