Irwin A. Popp

Popp, Irwin A. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Popp passed away Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Brian's House. The son of the late Albert and Helen (Fishhaber) Popp was born April 7, 1924 in Bay County, MI. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Mr. Popp retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland. He was an avid Bowler and Detroit Tiger Fan, served with the U.S. Army during W.W. II and was a member of V.F.W. Post #6950 in Kawkawlin. He is survived by his wife; Shirley May Popp, his children; John , Terry, Judy and her life partner; Jane Mott, Cathy and Lyle (Kris) several grandchildren and great grandchildren, one sister; Doris Matthews and one sister-in-law; Betty Beauchamp, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son; Kenneth. At Mr. Popp's request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 11:00am at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Paul E. Schaewe. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Cards for St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church will be available at the church.
