Jack Omer Morley

Jack passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 79 years. He was born in Bay City on November 11, 1940 to the late Omer and Helen (Zins) Morley. Jack graduated from T.L. Handy High School and went on to work for Industrial Brownhoist. He married the former Cheryl V. Pond on July 7, 1979. Jack was the owner and operator of J & R Trenching and was also a licensed builder. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, classic cars, building, fixing and working with his hands. He was a very mechanically inclined person.
Jack is survived by his loving wife who he adored, Cheryl; children, Kenneth Morley, Katherine Richards, Keith (Dianna) Morley, Angela (Corey) Klein and Sean (Amy) Mika; grandchildren, Brandon Richards, Joshua Morley, Jack Morley, Madalyn Mika, Daniel Mika and Chase Derocher; several special great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Chuck (Karen) Houghtaling, Nancy (Jim) Crofoot, Sam (Gwen) Morley and Jean Dupree; brother-in-law, Ray Lamb and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jack was also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Nicole Mika; brother, Roy Houghtaling and sisters, Maryann Bonson and Helen Lamb.
Visitation for Jack will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. At the request of Jack cremation will take place following the visitation.
