Jack R. Thompson

Jack passed away on the evening of Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Toni & Trish House, Auburn at the age of 59 years. Jack was born on June 21, 1958 in Bay City to Jack and Joy (Baldwin) Thompson. He married the former Dawn Jean on November 22, 1980 in Bay City and spent 36 years together. Jack was employed by the City of Bay City for 18 years as a Lineman and was a member of the IBEW. Surviving are his wife, Dawn; three children, Jamie (Andrew) Torrey, Justin Thompson and Ashley Thompson (Alex Brayman); grandson, Jackson Torrey and one grandchild on the way; mother, Joy Thompson; sister, Pam (Tom) Monville; brothers, Keith and Lee (Diane) Thompson; many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his father, Jack W. Thompson. Funeral and committal services will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Andrew Pomerville officiating. Per Jack's wishes cremation will take place following the service. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
