Jacklene gained her wings on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 89 years. Jacklene was born on April 23, 1929, daughter to the late Arthur and Creva (Hewitt) Lindauer. Jacklene married Edward E. Chevalier on May 17, 1952 and they resided in Bay City, Michigan. Together they were members of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. After 42 years of service, Jacklene retired from Bay City Prestolite. Her children and their families brought her the most joy. She loved spending time with family, keeping note of their every birthday, special event, visit and phone call. Holidays were very special to her and Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas at grandma and grandpas will forever be a cherished memory for all.
Surviving are five children, Nadine (Ronald) Barratt of Sanford, Susan Chevalier of Bay City, Michael (Amy) Chevalier of St. Clair Shores, Marilyn (Jeff) O'Loughlin of Bay City and Arthur Chevalier of Bay City; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Marleen Coons. In addition to her parents, Jacklene was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward; brothers, Arthur and Robert Lindauer; brothers-in-law, Harold Uhlman, Roy Jean, Gerald Chevalier and Vincent Chevalier; sisters-in-law, Corrine Lindauer, Eleanor Lindauer, Marie Uhlman, Dorothy Jean, Wilma Chevalier and Mildred Chevalier; daughter-in-law, Karen Chevalier; grandchildren, Thomas Barratt and Scott Trombley and one great grandchild.
At the request of Mrs. Chevalier cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held privately at the families' wishes.
