James Leonard Atherton

James passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 62. The son of the late James and Esther Atherton was born January 27, 1962 in Bay City, Michigan. James was a proud member of AA for 42 years and enjoyed fishing, tinkering and talking to people.

James is survived by his significant other, Laura Dotson; best friend, Pam Paten; daughter, Alexandra (Noah) Troxell; grandchildren, Luna Holland, and Icarus Troxell and his special friends, Terry and Phil. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Dean Atherton.

At the request of James cremation has taken place and no services are being planned. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
