James W. Davis

Davis, James W. Essexville, Michigan Mr. Davis passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at the Bay Medical Care Facility. Age 80 years. The son of the late Noland and Gladys (Wilbur) Davis was born January 23, 1934 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Davis served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. James enjoyed the up north, gardening and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Davis is survived by one daughter, Cathy Peters; two sons, John (Sue) Davis and Jamie (Lisa) Davis; eight grandchildren, Brent Schwanbeck, Brad (Amy) Schwanbeck, Christi Schwanbeck, Jason (Lindsay) Davis, Stefanie (Corey) Rusch, Noland Davis, Zachary Davis and Rebecca Davis; two great grandchildren, Peyton Schwanbeck and Crew Rusch; two sisters; one sister-in-law and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents James was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret A. Davis and one son-in-law, Ken Peters. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Grueber and the staff at the Bay Medical Care Facility for their compassion and care. At the request of Mr. Davis cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Elm Lawn Cemetery. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the wishes of the family.
