James David Jacobs

JACOBS, James David "Flake" -"Red", Warsaw, Indiana, formerly of Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Jacobs passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Warsaw, Indiana. Age 76 years. The son of the late Floyd Alfred and Lillian Lucille (Tacey) Jacobs was born September 21, 1933 in Bay City. He was retired as a driver from Kinney Dairies Inc. Mr. Jacobs was a member of the American Legion Post # 18, an avid golfer, softball and blooper ball player, enjoyed watching the Detroit Lions, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and was a big supporter of Garber High school athletics. He is survived by four children, Jamie Jacobs of Bay City; Jill (Ralph) McDonald of Warsaw, IN; Shawn (Lori) Jacobs of Bay City and Jeremy (Christine) Jacobs of Essexville; seven grandchildren, Lee; Brandon; Erica; Julian; Payten; Anthony and Josh; six great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters; his twin, Jerald (Roberta) Jacobs; Ruth Ann (Jerome) Klosowski; Diane (Floyd) Moore and his favorite dog "Griz". In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Dale Jacobs. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Patrick J. O'Connor with cremation following. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
