James "Jim" W. Jerome

Jerome, James W. "Jim" Bay City, Michigan Jim passed away Sunday morning, February 19, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 58 years. He was born July 23, 1953 in Saginaw, MI. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. He was employed at Great Lakes Eglinton as a purchasing agent. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, tractors and heavy equipment. He is survived by his wife of twenty one years the former Susan A. Auernhammer whom he married December 22, 1990. Also surviving are his children: Chelsea (Dave Mengyan) Jerome and Darcey (Joshua) Gratton, his grandchildren: Mason, Abby and Lexi Gratton, his mother and step-father; Marcia and Merlin Lavrack, his brothers and sisters; Randy (Therese ) Jerome, David (Cecilia) Jerome, Craig Jerome, Jeff (Wendy) Jerome, Michelle (Buzz) Jewell and Krysty Jerome, his step siblings; Marla Dalzell and Mark Lavrack, his mother-in-law; Dorine Auernhammer, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Pete Auernhammer, Deb (Drew) Kennedy, Sarah Auernhammer and Steve (Varsi) Auernhammer. He was preceded in death by his father; Terrence Jerome and his father-in-law; Reinhold Auernhammer. Funeral services will take place Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust (6100 West Side Saginaw Rd. Bay City, MI 48706). Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in the Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Jim will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
