King, James P., D.D.S. Bay City, Michigan James P. King, D.D.S., of Bay City, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the James E. Cartwright Care Center Hospice in Saginaw. Age 63 years. The son of the late James & Dorothy (LeMonte) King was born August 8, 1949 in Elkhart, Indiana. James graduated in 1974 from the University Of Michigan School Of Dentistry. Dr. King was a dentist in the Tri-City area until his retirement in August of 2012. He was also a missionary dentist in Kenya for four years. James loved playing guitar and sailing. Dr. King is survived by his wife of 32 years, the former Stephanie F. Patterson; two children, Jason Sutton of Rochester Hills and Jamie (Lawrence) Fitak of Gaylord; three grandchildren, Trevor and Rebecca Sutton and Nicole Terrian; a sister, Jody (Clint) Struthers of Midland; a niece, Courtney (Rob) Morganstern of Grand Rapids; a brother-in-law, Pendil Patterson of Dallas; and a sister-in-law, Michele Patterson of California. At the request of Mr. King cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Nancy Steele. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 O'Clock Noon and until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. Alban's Memorial Fund will be available at the church.
