James F. Leinberger

Mr. Leinberger passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at the Toni and Trish House. Age 77 years. The son of the late Erwin and Irene (Kolb) Leinberger was born December 14, 1939 in Bay City, Michigan. James was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and retired from Buick Motor Division in Flint in 1997. Mr. Leinberger enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, walking, gardening, camping and loved the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Mr. Leinberger is survived by four children, Robert(Elizabeth) Leinberger, Diane (William) Joles, Lisa (Barry) Peglow, Jeffrey Leinberger; nine grandchildren, William, Geri (Leon), Joshua, Justin, Jeremy, Sean (Cortney), Kyle, Lauren and Abigail; eleven great grandchildren, Jennifer, Serenity, Mackenzie, Isabelle, Nova, Anika, Lilly, Brandon, Patience, Aidan and Arabelle; five siblings, Kenneth (Judy) Leinberger, Ruth (Paul) List, Walt (Jan) Leinberger, Janet Richards and Herbert (Lynn) Leinberger; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, James was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy; wife, Elaine Leinberger; daughter, Debra Sue Leinberger; brother-in-law, Reginald Richards; sister-in-law, Joanne Leinberger. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Kevin C. Jones with Committal following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
