James E. Lodge

Mr. James E. Lodge, of New Baltimore, MI, passed away early Monday morning, January 2, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Macomb, age 73. The son of the late John and Irene (Jungerheld) Lodge, he was born on September 4, 1943 in Saginaw. James was a graduate of Saginaw High School and Michigan State University. He retired as the safety administrator after 37 years of employment with Chrysler Corp. James enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid MSU fan.
On August 6, 1966 James married the former Cheryl D. Traxler of Bay City and she survives his passing along with their two children, Kelley (Mark) Mullins of Plymouth and John Lodge of Troy; two grandchildren, Madison and Colin Mullins; two brothers, Richard (Madeline) Lodge of Hemlock and Jack Lodge of Saginaw; a sister, Barbara (Norm) Andrus of Hemlock; his mother-in-law, Lucille Traxler of Bay City; two sisters-in-law, Julie (Arnie) Schmidt of Bay City and Carol (Doug) Martin of Auburn; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc., 201 W. Midland St., Bay City, MI, 48706, (989)686-2291. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
