James M. Meerdo

Mr. Meerdo passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 92 years. The son of the late John and Barbara (Trembulak) Meerdo was born January 13, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Meerdo was retired from General Motors and enjoyed boating, fishing, traveling in his RV, wintering in Texas and his dog, Rocky.

Mr. Meerdo is survived by his wife of 69 years, the former, Lorraine M. Bell; two daughters, Jan Janus and Denise (Doug) Thomas; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Irene Zimmerman of Florida and one brother, Raymond Meerdo of Arizona. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his four brothers, Edward, Frank, Joseph and William Meerdo and two sisters, Roseann Karmol and Veronica Meerdo.

At the request of Mr. Meerdo cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
