James H. Wuepper

Mr. Wuepper passed away Thursday, July 13, 2017 at D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette, MI. Age 92 years. The son of the late Emil and Emma (Walter) Wuepper was born July 16, 1924 in Highland Park, MI. He was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church. He retired from the U.S Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. Mr. Wuepper had a great love for Steam Engines and he owned his own and had a great love for music. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during W.W. II in the South Pacific with the First Marine Division. He is survived by one daughter and one son-in-law; Linda and Raymond Little of Bay City, two sons and two daughters-in-law; James Wuepper and Kathy Oien of Marquette, Michigan and William and Fanice Wuepper of Marquette, MI, eight grandchildren; Jennifer Periard, Jeremiah Periard, Elizabeth Juras, Jason Wuepper, Emma Wuepper, Timothy Wuepper, Marsha Yant and Jody Little; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Eryn, Olivia, Jack, Ethan, Cate, and Julianna; one great great granddaughter, Aria; one aunt, Lois Peters; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Florence J. Wuepper; one son, Ross Wuepper; one brother, Howard Wuepper. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Tuesday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Wuepper will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Zion Lutheran Church or D.J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans.
