Dannesberger, Janet Lou Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Dannesberger passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at New Hope Bay Assisted Living. Age 81 years. The daughter of the late Clarence and Gertrude (Laskus) Ekkens was born October 14, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Dannesberger was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years, retired from McLaren Bay Region as a RN after 38 years. She enjoyed sewing, ceramics, dancing, making candy and going to the casino. Mrs. Dannesberger is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Martin Dannesberger; three children, David Dannesberger, Darcy (William) Goss and Diane (Curt) Coty; four grandchildren; one brother, Edwin (Pam) Ekkens; one sister, Susan (Larry) Turner and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Steven "Butchy" Ekkens and Conrad Ekkens. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of New Hope Bay Assisted Living and Mclaren Hospice for their compassion and care. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm. Friends may call at the Westminster Presbyterian Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for the Westminster Presbyterian Church Deacons Fund will be available at the church.
