Janice Bills

Janice (Lucier) Bills, 81, of Bay City, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2025. She was born in Leamington, Ontario, Canada on March 26, 1943 to Jean (Moore) and Harvey Lucier, Sr. She was united in marriage to Lawrence Bills, Sr. on October 18, 1958. Besides owning her own restaurant, she held many jobs throughout her life. She treasured most however, her role as a loving wife to Larry for 66 years. She loved to sing and dance, and she and Larry could tear up the dance floor with their Swing dancing in their youth. She was known by all the family for her wonderful carrot cake, baked beans and peanut butter fudge. She liked to tell jokes and play cards, and taught all their grandchildren how to play several card games. She also liked to crochet, and blessed so many with her afghans and other crocheted gifts.

Janice is survived by her husband, her four children and their spouses, Dina (Wes) Murphy of Auburn, MI, Debbie (Chuck) Masegian of South Lyon, MI, Larry (Cristina) Bills, Jr. of Caro, MI, and Don (Kim) Bills of Whitehall, MI; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, her siblings Adele Purdee, Alberta Hicks, and Harvey Lucier, Jr., and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters KarolAnn McFadden and Louetta Paison and her daughter-in-law Sandra Bills. She was loved dearly and will be forever in our hearts.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Gephart Funeral Home. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
