Janice Joy Pember-Doerr

Janice passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center-Midland at the age of 64 years. Janice was born in Belle Plain, Louisiana on July 9, 1957 to the late Robert W. and Marie (Bissonette) Pember. On May 20, 1983 she married Thomas A. Doerr at St. Mary's Church in Bay City and were married for 38 years. Janice received her Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in Recreational Therapy from Central Michigan University. She then went on to the Naturopathic Institute of Therapies and Education where she received her degree as a natural health therapist and educator. She received her Doctorate from The Clayton College of Natural Health. She was employed for several years by Standish Long Term Care Facility and went on to own and operate Health Naturally in Bay City and Standish, Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, watching Dancing With The Stars and spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by her husband, Thomas; sons, Erich T. Doerr of St. Ignace, Michigan, Nathaniel R. Doerr of Grand Blanc, Michigan and Michael P. (Ashley) Doerr of Orlando, Florida; special caring nephew, Stephen M. (Theresa) Doerr of Flint, Michigan; sisters, Mary (Terry) Maul of Kawkawlin, Michigan, Dr. Bobbette Morgan of Texas and Carol (Leon) Vines of Missouri; sisters-in-law, Sr. Rose Miriam Doerr RSM of Bay City, Michigan, Rosemary (Clifton) Myers of Orlando, Florida and Denise Doerr of Jackson; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Harold and Regina Doerr; nieces, Dawn Harrington-Johnson and Carrie Schmidt-Harrington; brothers-in- law, Robert Doerr and William Harrington.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge with cremation to take place following the Mass. Friends and family may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Pember-Doerr will be taken to the church to lie in state on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
