Jason A. Delaney

Jason Alan Delaney, of Bay City, passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 6, 2013, age 34. The son of the late Alan L. & Peggy D. (Rainey) Delaney, he was born February 14, 1978 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. He has lived in Michigan for the last 12 years, the past 8 in Bay City. Jason served with the U.S. Marine Corp. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. Jason was very loyal and cherished his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. On June 13, 2008 Jason married the former Amanda K. Kirkey and she survives him along with his five children, Jullian, Jason, Michaela, Joseph and Dylan Delaney; two brothers, Adam (Renee) Delaney of Olympia, Washington and Justin (Trisha) Kuch of Atlanta, Georgia; a sister, Jessica Ridley of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his grandfather, Charles Gale Rainey; his father and mother-in-law, Michael & Debra Kirkey; a brother-in-law, Michael (Katie Van Driessche) Kirkey; a sister-in-law, Angela (Michael) Winning; and many nieces & nephews. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Sr. Mary Epple, R.S.M. followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council.
