Jason Jerome LeFevre

Jason Jerome LeFevre, age 47, passed away surrounded by loved ones on November 16, 2023 at Advent Shawnee Mission Hospital in Merriam, Kansas. Jason was born on March 8, 1976 in Jackson, Michigan. In April of 1979 he was adopted by William and the late Joyce LeFevre. Jason resided in Bay City, Michigan until his graduation from Bay City Central High School in 1994. Jason then joined the United States Navy and graduated boot camp at Great Lakes Advanced training as a Culinary Specialist, with Air Crew training in Pensacola, Florida. He was then stationed with the Seventh Fleet in Formia, Italy. During his tenure in the Navy, Jason served as a personal chef to multiple Admirals and also hundreds of personnel during his deployments. Jason was a proud and devoted father to Cessilli, with her being his greatest gift. Jason loved to cook and loved passing on his wisdom in the industry. He held many chef positions that gave him the chance to travel the United States and share his love for cooking with so many others. Jason also loved to work on his mothers’ 1932 Model A in his spare time.
Jason is survived by his daughter Cessilli Marie LeFevre, father William Lefevre, sister Laurie Veitengruber, sister-in-law Morage LeFevre, brother Lane (Natalie) LeFevre, brother William (Joanne) LeFevre, sister Viki (Joseph) St Martin, sister Shannon White, many nieces and nephews, partner Staci Jackson and her children. Jason was predeceased by his mother Joyce LeFevre, brother Lance LeFevre, grandparents Myrtle and Earl Thorne, grandparents Mathilda and William LeFevre, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at Messiah Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. J. Daniel Stoneback. Private interment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends and family may visit at Gephart Funeral Home on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. Jason will be taken to the church to lie in state on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In remembrance of Jason’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to William LeFevre, as fund will be made in Cessilli’s name.
