Jeanette E. Bowersock

Bowersock, Jeanette "Evelyn" Saginaw, Michigan Jeanette "Evelyn" Bowersock, age 88 passed away on August 28, 2013 at Brookdale Senior Living, in Saginaw, Michigan where she had resided for the past three years. The seventh child born to Emil W. and Dorothy O. Winzig. She was preceded in death by six siblings, all of whom lived only a few hours. Her mom wrote after her name and birth date "still on deck". Evelyn, as she was known throughout her life lived all but the last eight years in Bay City, Michigan. She moved to Owosso, Michigan where her daughter resides when the journey with dementia began, then to the Brookdale community. Evelyn was a homemaker and had worked at J.C. Penny for a few years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting, making a lot of her clothes over the years, knitting slippers, mittens and sweaters for her grandchildren. Mrs. Bowersock was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, husband of 57 years, Ray Bowersock, sons William and Lee Bowersock, great great granddaughter Taylen, in-laws and a nephew. She is survived by her daughter, Raylynn (Robert) Ottke, Owosso, MI; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Bowersock, Bay City, MI; grandchildren, Michelle Steward, Florida; Rob (Amy) Ottke, Haslett, MI; Jessica (Mike) Dore, Bay City, MI; Jill (Jerod) Wrzesinski, Kawkawlin, MI. Great grandchildren, Amanda, Eric, MacKenzie, Hannah, Jacob, Emileigh, Gavin, Blake and Drew, great great grandson, James, a niece and nephews. To the staff at Brookdale Senior Living and SouthernCare Hospice, appreciation and thank you for the excellent care that you provided. At the request of Mrs. Bowersock cremation has take place. A memorial service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry C. Larkin. Private inurnment will take place at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. and until the time of service.
