Jeanne Sebald Bay City, Michigan Jeanne Mary Catherine Engelhardt Sebald passed away early Wednesday morning February 11, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region following a lengthy illness. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Fred "Fritz" and Catherine "Pat" (Madigan) Engelhardt, she was born February 26, 1932 in Bay City where she grew up in her family business Engelhardt's Dairy and has resided here all of her life. She was a lifetime member of Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Campus and it's Altar Society, the Saginaw County Republican Women's Club. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. On March 26, 1951 she married her husband of sixty-one years Louis R. Sebald in Holy Trinity Catholic Church and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2012. Left behind to cherish her memories are eight children and their spouses; Mark and Diane Sebald, Jeanne and Joseph Gwizdala, LuAnn and Brian Lemiesz, Scott and Lynne Sebald, Barry and Milly Sebald, Catherine and Jeff Bertuleit, Patrick Sebald and his fiancée Carrie Hadd and Jenny and Brad Werner, seventeen grandchildren; Amy Sebald, Stephen Sebald, Melissa (Brian) Michalski, Angela Gwizdala, Sarah Gwizdala, Matthew (Rachel) Lemiesz, Andrew Lemiesz, Courtney (Curtis) Ahlberg, Alison Sebald, Lauren Jean Sebald, Ryan Sebald and his fiancée Katie Miller, Shannon Sebald, Kyle Sebald, Caitlin Bertuleit, Claire Bertuleit, Jacob Werner and Madeline Werner, three great grandchildren; Morgan Sebald, Janay and Kenleigh Gwizdala, sister-in-law Margaret Engelhardt, brother-in-law; Elmer Schwartz and many nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and several special friends she made while receiving dialysis for the past seven years. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Gerald "Joe" Engelhardt and Fred "Sonny" Engelhardt, father-in-law and mother-in-law; George and Mary (Burhardt) Sebald, and four sisters-in-law; Gertrude, Dorothy, Ruth and Florence. Jeanne cherished the love and support her friends and family gave to her during her illness. The Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, February 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Campus 1008 S. Wenona St. Bay City, MI 48706. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the deceased will take place Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Sebald will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the Bay County Right to Life or Corpus Christi Parish-Holy Trinity Campus.
