Jeannine passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 84 years. She was born in Bay City on December 10, 1935 to the late Lawrence and Bernice (Chase) Collicker. On September 8, 1956 she married John E. Boyce and were married for 50 years until his passing on December 14, 2006. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and Our Lady of Peace Parish. Jeannine graduated from Detroit Mercy in 1956 and worked for Mercy Hospital and Bay Medical Center as an operating room nurse. In her spare time she enjoyed trips to the cabin up north, gardening, casino trips, sewing, lunches with retired RN friends and spending time with her family.
Jeannine is survived by her children, Becky (Mike) MacMillan, Brian (Sharon) Boyce, Scott (Kay) Boyce, Lori Brissette and Lisa (Steve) Foy; grandchildren, Kyle (Rachel Topping) MacMillan, Katie (Pranav Rane) MacMillan, Jason Boyce, Brandon (Haleigh) Boyce, Alec and Corey Boyce, Zachary (Kelli) Brissette, Lauren Greenfield, Lindsey (Andrew Meyer) Brissette, Alexis (Jacob Helwick) Foy, Nick and Tyler Foy; sister, Glenda (Ray) Kuhn-Heilig; brother, Larry (Alice) Collicker and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her beloved son-in-law, Paul Brissette.
Funeral Liturgy and Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at Our Lady of Peace Parish. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John Sarge with private interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Boyce will be taken to the church to lie in state on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
