Jerene Mary Novak

Jerene M. Novak, of Pinconning, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 27, 2013, age 57. The daughter of the late Preston S. & Arwilda (McPherson) Elliott, Jerene was born July 21, 1955 in Bay City. She was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Jerene retired from the Bay Medical Care Facility. She loved animals, especially her dogs, Rudy and King. Jerene is survived by her husband of 40 years, Karl R. Novak; her two children, Chad Novak of Bay City and Heather Martin of Pinconning; her son-in-law, Justin Martin; her beloved granddaughter, Kayla Martin, whom she adored; her four sisters, Janice Park of Rochester Hills, Norma (Robert) Panzner of Bay City, Maxine (Art) Field of Bay City and June (David) Wisniewski of Bay City; her brother, Dale Elliott of Munger; a sister-in-law, Karen Boughner of Bay City; a brother-in-law, Kevin Novak of Bay City; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Sharon Voelker. Private inurnment will be in Elm Lawn Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Novak will lie instate at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
