Mr. Jerome L. "Jerry" Faustin, of Bay City, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 22, 2016 at the Aleda E. Lutz V.A. Medical Center in Saginaw, age 69. The son of the late Stanley and Anna (Zelak) Faustin, he was born on February 3, 1947 in Bay City. Jerry served with the U.S. Army in Vietnam from 1965 to 1968. He was a member of the AMVETS. Jerry was a self-employed carpet installer and fork lift operator. He enjoyed bowling and loved to fish, especially on Silver Creek in Oscoda.
Jerry is survived by his three children, Janette (Duane) Rossmann of Almont, Jerry Ray (Elizabeth) Faustin of Bay City and Jeanie (Wade Studniarz) Faustin of Bay City, and their mother, Janet Faustin; his five grandchildren, Jeremy, Rachel, Madison, Timothy and Emma; his brothers and sisters, Tom (Carol) Faustin, Betty Smith, Donny Faustin, Jim Faustin, Roger (Jan) Faustin, Eddy Faustin, Stan (Anne) Faustin and Mary Jane (Bruce) McCabe; a sister-in-law, Joan Faustin; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jerry was also preceded in death by two sisters, Eileen Bumgardner and Jan (Dick) Sullivan; two brothers, Bob Faustin and Rich (Tammy) Faustin; three sisters-in-law, Rose Lee Faustin, Barb Faustin and Jackie Faustin; and a brother-in-law, Ray Smith.
It was Jerry's desire for cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Dwight Kingsbury followed by Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Army and the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
