Jerome Piesik

Our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully Sunday evening, September 23, 2018 at his residence, at the age of 76 years. The son of the late Harry and Eleanor (Murawski) Piesik was born December 17, 1941 in Bay City, Michigan. He was a long time member of Visitation Catholic Church and a current member of Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church. Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, watching Nascar, taking drives up north, going on vacation and spending time with his wife. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left behind to cherish his memories is one son, Christopher (Tammy) Piesik; one daughter, Kimberly (Dave Templin) Kokaly; his grandchildren, Vanessa (Andrew) Kuenker, Tiffany (Kyle) Westphal, Bryanna (Tom D'Ostilio) Kokaly, Tylia Piesik and Marcus Barber; his great grandchildren, Lukas and Evan Kuenker and expected great grandson; sister, Janice Badalamenti and caregiver, Bayli Sayers. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dianna J. "Diane" (Becker) Piesik whom he married April 8, 1961 and she passed away December 21, 2017.
The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary's Church (607 E. South Union, Bay City, MI 48706) . The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Edwin C. Dwyer with private entombment at Floral Gardens Mausoleum. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Jerome will lie in state at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
