Joan M. Ashmore

Joan passed away February 3, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 61 years. The daughter of the late Walter and Clara (Borkowski) Zolinski was born September 21, 1953 in Saginaw, MI. She was employed by Dependable Sewer Cleaners in the Billing Department. Joan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family and also enjoyed gardening. Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter; Marcie Burns, her step daughter; Candi Bell, four grandchildren, her mother-in-law; Linda Mellendorf, her father-in-law; James L. Ashmore Sr., her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Ed and Kim Ashmore, William and Demra Ashmore, Shirley Ashmore, Fronda and Tim Pattengill, Bobbie and Kevin Kenney and Brenda Schalk. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; James L. Ashmore Jr., her mother-in-law; Cheryl L. Ashmore, two brothers; Donald Zolinski and Jerry Zalen. The Funeral and Committal will take place Monday, February 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN with private interment in Grant Township Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive family and friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
