Geno, Joan Lois Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Geno passed away late Monday evening June 9, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region with her loving family at her side. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Rudolph and Lillian Julia (Baker) Kraenzlein was born April 7, 1931 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She formerly attended Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed playing the organ, music, dancing, camping and singing around the campfire and most of all spending time with her family. Left behind to cherish her memories are two sons and one daughter-in-law; Robert D. and Debbie Geno and David M. Geno, one son-in-law; Thomas Van Horn all of Bay City, six grandchildren; Mikeal and Heidy Van Horn, Michelle and David Valley, Corrie and Louie Gabel, Ryan Geno and fiancée Stephanie Ridley, Reagan and Jeremy Bickel and Robert B. Geno and his special friend; Sara Curler, eight great grandchildren; Hannah, Noah, Malachi, Alexes, D.J., Allie, Paityn and Bo, one brother; Roy Kraenzlein; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. On December 21, 1949 she married Donald Edward Geno and he preceded her in death on September 11, 1992. She was also preceded in death by one daughter; Susan Carol Van Horn, one sister and brother-in-law; Margaret and Ernest Zielinski, one brother; Louis Kraenzlein and one sister-in-law; Frances Kraenzlein. Funeral Services will take place Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be her grandson-in-law; Pastor David A. Valley with interment following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for the "Wishes of the Family" will be available at the funeral home.
