Joan J. Preston

Joan passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her residence at the age of 81 years. Joan was born in Bay City on October 29, 1936 to the late Edward and Bertha (Allore) LaPan. Joan married William Edward Preston Sr. on August 7, 1954 and he preceded her in death on March 1, 2010. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was retired as a clerk at K-Mart.
Joan is survived by her children, Rose Preston-Bedenbaugh, Mary Metro and William Preston; son-in-law, Keith Kehrer; daughter-in-law, Mable Preston; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Eugene LaPan and sisters, Agnes Johnroe and Margaret Cygan. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jo Preston-Kerher; granddaughter; seven brothers and sisters and daughter-in-law, Cathy.
At the request of Joan cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Private inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery. For online condolences www.GephartFuneralHome.com
