Joel P. Lenar, age 51, passed away at his home in Bay City, Michigan on Tuesday, September 20, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 1, 1965 in San Francisco, California. He graduated from Grayling High School in 1983. He was baptized on June 26, 1982 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He remained active in his Bible education ministry throughout his life. He loved sharing the Bible's hope for the future of mankind with his neighbors. He found great comfort in what his God Jehovah has promised in the Scriptures for mankind. Joel married his wife Suzanne of 28 years on June 18, 1988 in Grayling, Michigan. He and his wife were local business owners together in the community for many years. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Lenar; daughter, Cortney (Phil) Zimmer; parents, Greg and Donna Lenar; brother, Jeremy (Marcie) Lenar, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as close friends who are considered family. Joel was a husband, father, brother, son, and a spiritual man who tried to live his life in harmony with Bible standards. He loved his wife, daughter, family, friends, music, and car racing. He could empathize and comfort others. He was loyal and understood what it meant to be a true friend. A memorial service will take place at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness (5435 Kasemeyer Rd., Bay City, MI 48706). Friends may call at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
