John F. Bracher Jr.

Mr. Bracher passed away early Monday morning, December 31, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 88 years. The son of the late John F. and Esther (Brandenstein) Bracher Sr. was born February 9, 1924 in Bay City. Mr. Bracher enjoyed golfing and gardening. Mr. Bracher served his country in the U.S. Army during W.W.II and received the Purple Heart Medal. He is survived by his wife of 64 years the former Lucille M. Fortin whom he married July 3, 1948. Also surviving are his children and their spouses; Michael and Barbara Bracher, David and LouAnn Bracher and Brian Bracher, his grandchildren; Jennifer, Rachel (Joseph), Elissa and Nathan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his sister; Janice and his brother; Walter. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services.
