John H. Johannes "Big John"

John passed away May 12, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 68 years. John was born February 4, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan to Orion Johannes and Lois LaBrosse. John proudly served his country in the U.S Army. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting, music, he ran the sound, lights and booked bands. He was known as a music icon in the Mid-Michigan area. John was a gentle giant, kind, caring person. His personality was bigger than life. A person who is known by many who cared very much about Bay City and the people whose lives he touched. John's nieces and nephews were the light of his life.

John is survived by his mother, Lois LaBrosse; sister, Janet Johannes; nieces and nephews, Kelly, Kristen and Kevin; great nieces and nephews, Christopher, AJ, Jakob, Marissa, Donovan, Jace, Gianna, Serenity, Sebastian and Zaniyah; great great nieces and nephews, Silas, Camille and McKenna and friend, Deborah Cox. John is preceded in death by his father, Orion Johannes; Al LaBrosse, who he viewed as a father and niece, Kimberly.

Private burial will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make memorial contributions to Wishes of the Family.
